Why It Matters

During the phase of our lives of pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting little ones, we are often very busy just getting through the big changes and managing the day-to-day.
Sometimes our life-tetris gets in the way of having time for the people who brought meaningful connections for us in the past. Research shows that creating new close connections takes more than 200 hours, so while your time and energy are at a premium, it can be especially worthwhile to lean back into pre-existing friendships or family relationships that have been on the back burner.
Yes, you can do this while making new friendships! Reaching out to old friends, or family you haven't checked in with for a while, can be easier than you think.
